Frequently Asked

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is the process of restoring hair loss by implanting healthy hair follicles from one area of the scalp (the donor area), to an area of the scalp where there is thinning hair (the recipient area).  Sapphire FUE uses a sapphire stone to create the implant which allows the hair follicles to sit closer together gaining a more natural thicker result.

The cost of a hair transplant varies between each patient and is dependent on different individual factors.  However at the Regrow Hair Centre we look to offer extremely competitive prices allowing more people to regain their confidence without compromising the quality of the treatment.

DHI and Sapphire FUE hair transplants are the most successful form of hair restoration. This new approach to hair restoration leaves almost zero scarring and 95% – 98% of the hair is retained leading to a successful transplant.  All of our Transplants are also guaranteed we are that confident of our success rates.  If your transplant goes wrong we will give your money back for the transplant or offer a repair at no extra cost

A hair transplant works by, a surgeon removing follicles from the donor area – this is normally from the back of the scalp (nape). The hair follicles are then transplanted into the recipient area of the scalp, normally the front top and crown but can vary from patient to patient.

Yes, we have a number of patients who would be happy to share with you there experience and how happy they are with their results, we want you to feel completely comfortable and at ease before you decide to embark upon a journey to restoring your hair.

This is based on the amount of hair you have available at the back of your head.  If you have lots of hair then high numbers of grafts can be achieved, however If you are sparse at the back it will limit the amount of grafts available.  We are able to take grafts from other parts of the body but this is in extreme cases normally.  Speak to your consultant who will be able to tell you what you can expect to get.
For Sapphire FUE the clinic will shave all of your hair off in order to prepare your scalp for transplantation – a lot of patients refer to this as a ‘start again’ However with DHI technique patients are able to keep their hair on the top and only the back of the head is shaved – enabling a patient to maintain a hair line to not draw attention to the transplant – this is normally the case with regard to our female patients.

The transplanted hair can begin to shed at 3-6 weeks post procedure and will then take a further 2-4 months to start re-growing.  At the regrow Hair Centre we insist on carrying out PRP to speed up the process and improve the quality of the hair.  By doing PRP you can expect to see rapid increases in hair growth and by 6 months you will see the full effect of the PRP.  The transplant grows for a full year where you can see continual improvements – we will keep up to date with you throughout your transplant journey.

Absolutely, we are extremely aware that a transplant should match the age and profile of the patient.  We discuss and draw a line on the patients head to give a visualisation of the area and only proceed once the patient is 100%  happy.

Normally we can do most tranplants within 1 session however if a patient has extensive hair loss then they may need to do 2 procedures but this will be discussed with the patient at consultation stage.  We like to manage expectations and are realistic in a clients results.
